National Prototype Facility
In 2006, Qudos Technology applied for and won a Department of Trade and Industry/MNT Network grant to support the formation of the National Prototype Facility. It was set up as a regional Centre of Excellence and promotes the growth of the Micro and Nanotechnology industry in the UK. The Facility supports organisations requiring:
- The development of product ideas in the field of Micro
and Nanotechnology. - Commercial level processes and access to a fully
equipped pilot production facility - Expert refinement and enhancement of prototypes that
enable the next phase of production - Access to a complete suite of services for Micro and
Nano-Fabrication prototyping including Fine line
processes, Grey-scale masks and Nano-imprint masters
